Blending a neo-classic feel with contemporary furniture, this boutique-stay nods to its history -it was the house of Adile Zogu, one of Albanian king’s sisters- through the use of white tones and elegant elements. The Crown might be one of the most intimate hotels in Tirana, but don’t think for a second that this translates to the size of its rooms -all 9 of which are handsomely spacious. Ranging in size from a suite to double and mini apartments, many with their own private balconies, the rooms reflect an elegant, functional contemporary aesthetic with clean lines and cool furniture.

The continental breakfast ranges from fresh pastries and fruit, veggie options, artisan breads, to lactose-free and gluten-free dishes. What about dinner? The Crown’s restaurant, under the direction of chef Albi Subashi, is located on the 3rd and 4th floors of the 104-year-old building. The à la carte menu makes it the perfect place for all kind of guests. Start things off with Risotto with beetroot cream, brie cheese and cheese emulsion. Next, sample the Crispy tuna with kombu, soya caramel sauce and mango, or Crown ceviche with seabass, mango tartar, smoked chili and wild blueberries.
