Mullixhiu’s menu is a mix of modern dishes and traditional flavors inspired by the history of Albanian villages cooking. Ducks are baked in clay, pasta is dried in the sun, sausages are homemade. From the cheeses to wild fishes and traditional desserts like qumështor and kadaif, everything at Mullixhiu is fresh and seasonal and part of a project to show the rustic roots of Albanian cuisine transformed as fine dining.

Gzona is known for its exemplary dishes of traditional Albanian cuisine reinvented in a contemporary way. This restaurant offers an impressively reliable selection of superior bites. Take a seat and order Mishavin cheese risotto, roasted fennel cream, orange and almonds, the catch of the day from Ionian Sea, or fagottini stuffed with smoked trout of Kelmend, its own broth and lemon.

The elaborate Padam’s menu incorporates local ingredients bought from local farmers, Mediterranean flavors, a selected wine list, and traditional recipes transformed into modern dishes. The research behind each and every ingredient is meticulous. Egg cooked with truffle, yogurt sauce and broccoli, a traditional recipe of Gjepali’s grandmother, is Padam signature dish.

This pizzeria -with two addresses in town- is undoubtedly the best in Tirana and Albania. They serve traditional Neapoletan pizzas -margherita is perfect but if you want something fancier try pizza with capocollo ham, burrata and tomatoes- but also do a great selection of salads and dessert -try the tiramisu or chocolate soufflé with ice cream.
